The word Social is use everywhere. Social Networking, Social Bookmarking and so on. Social Networking has change as Internet was before. These tools are must have for anyone who wanted to make money online because you have to reach millions of people world around.
For example, you have a blog and people are not coming to your site. So, how will you generate traffic? One option is search engine but you have to work hard to get your result in first page.Another option is to make use of these tools.  Below are the five tools to start with.

Facebook

Facebook is a social network site that started out strictly for college students and was available by invitation only. Now, it is a cultural phenomenon stretching across the globe. With more worldwide users than MySpace, Facebook has taken hold as undisputable leader amongst social networking sites.

Profiles in Facebook allow users to post pictures, comments, blogs and apps. Additionally, it has some of the best privacy options on the Internet. We felt that Facebook really encouraged using the site to foster relationships with people you already know, or friends of friends. Within hours, we were already in touch with scores of old friends, relatives and acquaintances.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn is a social networking tool open to whosoever that is interested in networking with business professionals around the world. This charter is similar to Facebook, as both social networks maintain they are comprised of real nodes (people) who share real connections resulting in real social activity. LinkedIn and Facebook both require that their users connect based on what they have in common, and that both members agree that they know each other when they connect based on those affinities.

LinkedIn is in many ways more powerful networking tool than Facebook, however, because of how it allows members to search for, connect with and work with each other. LinkedIn enables people to view any other members who are within three degrees of separation from each other on their respective social graphs. This results in an amazing network multiplier effect, expanding one’s view of others’ profiles by up to 15,000 times the number of direct connections in the case of a super user. This network multiplier trounces Facebooks’s relatively rigid use of employer, school, geography and affinity groups. This reflects LinkedIn and Facebook’s different focus on creating business value vs. strengthening friend relationships.

Twitter

Twitter's overnight Internet fame stems from one simple question: "What are you doing?" You have 140 characters of text to answer, and as soon as you hit Update, the site's millions of users can see what you're up to. This small idea has blossomed into a hugely popular phenomenon, with its users covering the entire Earth, developers creating scores of helper apps for it, and a raft of imitation sites. This is the "social-networking and microblogging" site where you can read fascinating and mundane quick takes such as "ate a piece of cherry pie" or "just had a great workout." But despite the service's seemingly trivial function, which causes many to snub it and can at times make it akin to listening to other peoples' cell-phone conversations, Twitter fills a gap left by other forms of communication.

Digg

Digg is a very popular website; articles that make it to the main page generate copious amounts of traffic. Many content creators feature technology news — Digg is the place to publish for these authors.

To content creators, Digg offers a number of tools to integrate information from their site to yours. Digg supports quick blog posting to a number of blogging platforms including Wordpress (to blog any story within digg, simply click “blog story”). Once digg detects that you have blogged about a story, they produce a link to your website via the comment page associated with each story. You can also include the current set of digg homepage items on any page you want.

Del.icio.us

Del.icio.us is the standard by which other social bookmarking websites are measured. In use since 2003, it has a strong community and a rich layer of content beyond that of other social bookmarking sites.

Designed on the less-is-more philosophy, it has a rather plain but easy-to-use interface. Del.icio.us does not have the bells and whistles of some of the other social bookmarking sites, but being simple to use and having a strong community makes it one of the best choices for a new user.
